Tara Irby

Tara Irby is an experienced professional with a diverse background in nonprofit operations, community development, and social services. Currently serving as the Director of Non Profit Operations at the Housing Authority City of Asheville since January 2018, Tara has also held roles as Executive Assistant and Property Manager. Concurrently, Tara works as an Associate Broker at Kilgore & Associates. Previous positions include Residential Broker Associate at Beverly-Hanks & Associates and Outreach Coordinator for Community Development at the City of Asheville, where engagement and collaboration with community stakeholders were key responsibilities. Tara's earlier career includes significant positions at the Southern Good Faith Fund, the South Carolina Department of Social Services, and the Pee Dee Community Action Agency, focusing on program management, economic assessments, and client support. Tara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Carolina Asheville.
