Jing-Yi M.

Jing-Yi M. has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. They began their career as a Kitchen Assistant at The Hop Bine Pub and later worked as an Assistant Cook at The Little Bull Cafe. In 2018, they took on multiple roles at University College Roosevelt, including General Board Member of Teddy Team, Arts & Humanities Editor for the Ad Astra Academic Journal, Secretary of the Cooking Society, and Arts & Humanities Subeditor & Proofreader for the Ad Astra Academic Journal.

In 2019, Jing-Yi worked as a Housekeeper at Rijksmonument Hotel de Sprenck and also served as a Dog Walker for Honden Uitlaat Service Middelburg. They then joined Utrecht University as a Student Assistant, focusing on social media management for the Religious Studies Department's Twitter page.

Jing-Yi's next role was at Room Mate Hotels as a Kitchen Assistant at Room Mate Bruno. They then moved on to work at Leiden International Centre, where they held the positions of Communications & Events Intern and Helpdesk Employee. In these roles, they gained experience in social media management, newsletter creation, website maintenance, and providing information and assistance to international visitors.

Most recently, Jing-Yi joined Religion and Gender Journal as a Social Media Editor. They are currently working at HousingAnywhere as a Junior HR Administrator.

Jing-Yi M. pursued higher education, starting in 2018, at University College Roosevelt. In 2021, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Linguistics, Literature & Religion and a minor in Law. Following this, from 2021 to 2023, Jing-Yi M. enrolled at Utrecht University to pursue a Research Master's degree in Religious Studies. Additionally, in July 2017, they obtained a Level 3 Admin, PA & Secretarial Diploma from New Skills Academy.
