Abayomi Afe

Abayomi Afe is an experienced epidemiologist currently working at the Houston Health Department, specializing in infectious disease surveillance, program monitoring and evaluation, grant management, and proposal development. In addition to this role, Abayomi serves as an adjunct professor at Purdue University Global and Texila American University Consortium, focusing on epidemiology and supervising student theses for master's and doctoral programs. Previous experience includes serving as a program analyst for the United Nations Population Fund, managing programs related to reproductive health and rights, and leading various public health initiatives at the Equitable Health Access Initiative. Abayomi's extensive education includes a Ph.D. in Public Health from Universidad Central de Nicaragua, an M.B.B.S. from the University of Benin, and multiple master’s degrees in Public Health and Business Administration, among other qualifications.
