Isabel Hovey

Isabel Hovey has a diverse work experience spanning different sectors and roles. Isabel began their career as a Youth Development Volunteer with the Peace Corps, where they worked on developing an after-school program for children in special education classes. After their time with the Peace Corps, Isabel worked as the Program Director of Adult Literacy at Fayetteville Urban Ministry, where they were responsible for program operations and volunteer coordination. Isabel then joined East Austin College Prep as a Parent Support Specialist, facilitating communication between parents and the school, coordinating programs and workshops, and providing support to non-Spanish speaking staff. Isabel also worked as a Research Assistant at the CFRP Child and Family Research Partnership at LBJ, contributing to research, data collection, and policy reports.
