Kerri Briggs

Kerri Briggs currently serves as the Chief of Staff at Houston ISD, a position held since June 2023. Prior to this role, Kerri was the Vice President at Ed Direction from September 2018 to June 2023 and a Partner at Cicero Group from September 2018 to September 2022. Kerri's experience also includes serving as an Education Policy Officer at ExxonMobil, a Director of Education Reform at the George W. Bush Institute, and the State Superintendent at the Office of the State Superintendent of Education for the District of Columbia. Additional roles include Special Assistant at DC Government and Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education at the US Department of Education. Kerri holds a PhD and MPP in Policy, Education from the University of Southern California and a BA in Political Science from Stephen F. Austin State University.
