Richard Harris

Richard Harris has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Richard is currently working at Houston ISD as the Director of Facilities Finance & Accountability. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Manager of Facilities Finance at the same company. Before joining Houston ISD, Richard served as the Director of Finance and Operations - SETX Region at Green Dot Public Schools. Richard also worked at Cotton Holdings Inc. as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, where they implemented various process improvements and automation measures. Richard has experience in the education sector as well, having worked as the Director of Budgeting & Financial Planning at YES Prep Public Schools. Richard played a significant role in enhancing the budgeting process and securing funding for the organization. Earlier in their career, Richard worked as a Senior Financial Analyst in Transportation at The Men's Wearhouse, where they led cost-saving initiatives and developed financial systems. Richard also gained financial analysis experience at ExxonMobil and served as a Captain in the US Army. Overall, Richard has a strong background in finance and operations, with a focus on process improvement and strategic planning.

Richard holds an MBA degree in Finance and Operations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BS degree in Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Critical Thinking from LinkedIn in 2021, and Advanced Excel, Databases and ETL, Python Programming, and Web Visualization from Rice University in 2019.
