Royal Ivey

Royal Ivey currently serves as an Assistant Basketball Coach for the Houston Rockets, a position held since June 2023. Prior to this role, Royal Ivey was an Assistant Coach for the Brooklyn Nets from November 2020 to June 2023 and for the New York Knicks, Inc. from June 2018 to October 2020. Royal Ivey also gained experience as an Assistant Player Development Coach with the Oklahoma City Thunder from July 2015 to June 2018. Furthermore, Royal Ivey has been the CEO of Royal Ivey's Skill Clinic since August 2007. As a professional athlete, Royal Ivey played from 2004 to 2014 before transitioning to coaching. Royal Ivey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Youth and Community Studies from The University of Texas at Austin between 2000 and 2004.
