David Campbell

Principal Software Engineer at Hovercast

David Campbell has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. In 2007, they were a Volunteer English and Computer Teacher at Janata Higher Secondary School in Nepal, where they taught English to students of grade 9-12, as well as younger classes in English and Art as a substitute teacher. David also brought a suite of laptop computers to set up a computer lab and taught the teaching staff of Janata basic computing skills. In 2008, they began working as a QA Tester at Volition, then moved up to Sr. QA Tester in 2010. In 2012, they worked as a Researcher/Developer at The University of Iowa, where they developed software for analyzing and improving hospital care. David also worked as a Tutor in 2012. In 2014, they began working as a Graduate Student: Developer & Researcher at The Ohio State University, where they developed a social media platform to bring together high school teachers and community business members. In 2016, they worked as a Mobile Developer at Chepri, LLC. In 2017, they began working as a Sr. Front End Developer at PriorAuthNow, and in 2018 they worked as a Software Consultant at AllVirtualGroup, LLC. Finally, in 2019 they began working as a Principal Software Engineer and Software Consultant at Hovercast.

David Campbell began their educational journey in 2000 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they earned a BFA in Studio Arts in 2006. David then went on to the University of Iowa in 2012 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Computer Science, which they completed in 2013. The following year, they continued their studies at the University of Iowa, earning Graduate Studies in Computer Science. Finally, in 2014, David Campbell completed their Masters of Science in Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University.
