James Jordan has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. James started their career as a Development Associate at Virginia Stage Company in 2008 and later worked as an Assistant Director of Admissions at The Art Institute of Virginia Beach. James then joined ECPI University, where they served as a Student Support Advisor and later as an Interim Director of Career Services. In 2017, James joined Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University as an Assistant Director of Development. James subsequently moved to Hampden-Sydney College, where they held roles as a Major Gifts Officer and later as an Associate Director of Regional Development. In 2020, James became a Co-founder of Mikal-Hamlett, a company they collaborated with until joining Howard University in 2022 as the Director of Development for Health Science.
James Jordan received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy from Hampden-Sydney College, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. James obtained additional certifications in "The Discipline of Frontline Fundraising" from Plus Delta Partners in 2018 and "Learning Excel What-If Analysis" from LinkedIn in 2017.
