Yu FU

Spintronics test development engineer at Hprobe

Yu FU has worked in a variety of roles in the field of spintronics over the past 14 years. In 2021, they began working as a Spintronics Test Development Engineer at Hprobe. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Research Engineer and Postdoc Researcher at CEA, where their topic was Magnetoresistance in topological insulator (HgTe) for the applications in new generation of spin-electronic device (e.g. memory). From 2014 to 2018, they worked as a Research Engineer and Postdoc Researcher at CEA - Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives, where their topic was Spin-to-charge current conversion in alloy nano-thin films (Au-based alloys), Rashba interfaces (STO/LAO), and topological insulators (α-Sn, HgTe), for the applications in new generation of spin-electronic device (e.g. memory). From 2009 to 2014, they worked as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Duisburg-Essen, where their topic was Nano-magnetic materials for memory applications. Yu also worked as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant at the same institution. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Postgraduate Internship at Southeast University, where their topic was Influence of magnetic anisotropy and damping of magnetic thin films by capping layers or by rare-earth elements doping. Yu also worked as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant at the same institution.

Yu FU completed their Doctor of Science in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from Southeast University in 2013. Prior to that, they received their Master of Science in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from University of Duisburg-Essen in 2011. From 2006 to 2009, they undertook postgraduate studies and an internship in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics at Southeast University. They completed their Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from Southeast University in 2006.
