Darragh Murtagh

Darragh Murtagh has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. In 2015, they started their career as a Brand Ambassador for Maynooth University, where they represented the Product Design and Innovation Department during college Open Days. Darragh provided tours, engaged with potential students, and acted as a salesperson for the course.

During the same period, Darragh also worked as a Product Design Intern at Love & Robots, where they designed products within the accessories category, carried out orders, provided customer support, and contributed to boosting the company's image and awareness.

In 2015, they co-founded and served as the PRO Designer and Communications for the Maynooth University Comedy Society. Darragh designed the society logo, printed posters and pamphlets for events, and managed the social media pages.

From 2015 to 2016, Darragh worked at Business Society as the PRO Design & Communications. Darragh designed and printed posters, tickets, and pamphlets for society events, managed social media pages, and orchestrated campaigns to raise awareness.

In 2016, they joined Sports Direct Int. as a Supervisor, where they served customers, managed stock levels, and handled pricing for sales and price changes.

From 2017 to 2018, Darragh worked as a Visual Designer at Milner Browne. Darragh led the company's rebranding efforts, including the launch of a new website and brand guidelines. Darragh also developed wireframes and prototypes for apps and websites, conducted user testing, and designed collateral for campaigns.

In 2018, they joined Collinson as a Product Designer and worked there until 2020. In this role, they contributed to product design and development.

From 2020 to 2022, Darragh worked at Perkbox as a Product Designer, before transitioning to VU.CITY as a Product Designer. Darragh was promoted to the role of Senior Product Designer in 2022, and they are currently working at HR DataHub as the Lead Product Designer from 2023.

Throughout their career, Darragh has demonstrated skills in product design, visual design, project management, branding, social media management, and customer service.

Darragh Murtagh attended Maynooth University from 2012 to 2016, where they pursued a degree in Product Design with a focus on Marketing and Innovation. Prior to that, they attended St. Josephs CBS, Drogheda from 2006 to 2012, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for that period.

In addition to their formal education, Darragh has obtained various certifications. In 2020, they received a Design Sprint Facilitator certification from AJ&Smart. In 2017, they obtained a Manual Handling certification from the Health and Safety Authority. Darragh also holds a Certificate for Diversity and Inclusiveness from Maynooth Students' Union, obtained in 2015. Furthermore, Darragh has completed training in safeTALK Level 1 from the Health Service Executive in 2015, as well as GAA Foundation Coaching Level 1 and GAA Foundation Refereeing up to Under 13 from GAA in 2015. Lastly, they received a Health and Safety certification from the Health and Safety Authority in 2012.
