Shawn Tracy

Shawn Tracy has extensive experience in the field of ecological and water resources management. Shawn is currently working as an Ecologist at AECOM since 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles in different organizations. From 2016 to 2022, Shawn worked as a Project Manager at HR Green, where they developed and implemented business and marketing plans for the Minnesota Water Resources group. Shawn also managed projects, mentored staff, and led water resources initiatives. Before that, from 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Water Resources Scientist at HDR, focusing on watershed ecology and ecological functional responses. Shawn also served as a Watershed Ecologist at the Prior Lake - Spring Lake Watershed District in 2012, leading the development and implementation of best management practices for urban and agro-ecosystems. Prior to that, they worked as a Restoration Specialist at Metro Conservation Districts - Landscape Restoration Program from 2007 to 2011, where they designed and oversaw stormwater retrofit analysis, restoration plans, and installation of stormwater BMPs.

In their earlier career, Shawn held roles such as Environmental Biologist at Earth Wizards, Inc. - Ecological Services from 2005 to 2006 and Kunde Co., Inc. - Ecological Services from 2002 to 2005. Shawn also worked as a Research Intern at Advanced Telemetry Systems in 2001 and as a Wildlife Technician and Research Assistant at U.S.G.S from 1998 to 2001. Earlier in their career, Shawn worked as a Restoration Technician at Natural Resources Restoration, Inc in 2000.
