A member of the HCI Architecture leadership team since 2001, Michael Albracht carries an extensive background in adaptive reuse multifamily and hospitality projects and continues spearheading successful projects for HRI Properties and third party clients to repurpose existing buildings and design newly-constructed ones. Michael’s history in adaptive reuse projects includes renovations of Standard Life and Hibernia Tower, while his portfolio of new construction properties includes Bonne Terre Village II, Barataria Station Apartments I and II, and Aloysius Apartments.
In addition to both adaptive reuse and new construction projects, Michael also plays an integral role in specialty segments such as artist housing as well as the development of public housing where he’s demonstrated his expertise in all project phases and construction types. His vast work in the artist housing segment includes Blue Plate Lofts, Bywater ART Lofts (phases I and II), Bottle Art Lofts, and housing for the formerly homeless at 2222 Tulane Ave., and 2101 Louisiana Ave in New Orleans. Redevelopment of public housing projects includes River Garden and the Bienville Basin redevelopments.
His responsibilities also span Project feasibility studies or “predevelopment” work for sites across the country, selection of finishes for most of HRI Communities’ developments, and Interior Design services for HRI Lodging’s Property Improvement Programs.
