Akash Jaikaran has a diverse range of work experience. Akash started their career in 2014 as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at the Ministry of Energy & Energy Industries. In 2015, they continued their internship at the same company as a Mechanical Engineering Intern - Energy Aide.

Akash Jaikaran earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida in 2022. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus in 2016. Akash attended St Mary's College in Trinidad and Tobago from 2005 to 2012 for their high school education. In addition to their formal education, Akash obtained certifications such as CSME (Caricom Single Market Economy) Skills Certificate and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® in 2018.
