Mirko Talajic

Mirko Talajic, PhD, serves as the Head of Analytical Systems Support Department and Chief Data Officer at Hrvatska poštanska banka, d.d. since October 2019, and concurrently lectures on AI and machine learning subjects at Algebra University College since October 2016. Previously, Mirko held the position of Deputy IT Director at AKD from May 2018 to October 2019 and directed various IT functions at Zagrebačka banka from August 2001 to May 2018, including roles in enterprise IT solutions, internal services processes application support, and business intelligence development. Additionally, Mirko worked as a mathematics professor at Elementary School Ivo Andric in Zagreb from April 1998 to August 2001. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Faculty for Information Studies, Novo Mesto (2017-2022), a Master's Degree in International Economics from the University of Economics in Zagreb (2002-2006), and a degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Mathematics in Zagreb (1992-1998).
