Tom Esser

SVP Strategic Partnerships at HSA Bank

Tom Esser has an extensive work experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Tom started their career at Northwestern Mutual Life Ins Co as an Agent in 1987. Tom then worked at TechniPower, Inc. as a Sales Representative in 1988, where they later co-managed the DesPlaines, IL office. Esser later moved to Assurant Health, starting as a Specialty Products Representative in 1989 and eventually becoming the Vice President of National Accounts from 2002 to 2015. Tom'sresponsibilities included managing sales channels, strategic alliances, and national training and communication needs. Tom then joined Connecture in 2015 as the Senior Director of Strategic Relationships, focused on developing and maintaining partnerships with enterprise private exchange customers and carrier/supplier business partners. Esser currently serves as the SVP of Strategic Partnerships at HSA Bank, where they help carrier partners and distributors increase the number of HSA accounts opened and assets under management while providing exceptional service.

Tom Esser, CLU, ChFC, CFC completed their Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 1983 to 1987. In addition, they have obtained certifications as a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Flexible Compensation Specialist from ECFC. Tom also holds a Wisconsin Life and Health license.
