Georgios Kalpias, CFA has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries and roles. Georgios currently holds a Vice President position at HSBC in the Global Banking & Markets division, specifically in the Investment Banking Division. Prior to this, Georgios worked at Mizuho for five years, where they held positions of increasing responsibility. Georgios served as a Vice President in the Power & Advisory department, specializing in structured finance and M&A advisory for renewable energy projects, with a focus on floating offshore wind and new technologies. Georgios also worked as an Associate and Analyst in the same division. Before joining Mizuho, Georgios worked at EDF, where they were an Investment Analyst for Nuclear New Build and a Business Analyst for the Coal-Gas Asset Strategy. In these roles, they handled financial modeling, valuation analysis, and prepared internal approval board documents. Georgios also has experience working as an Assistant Project Engineer at Kalpias Constructions and as part of the Offshore and Marine Strategy team at Wison Group, where they were involved in strategic planning, market analysis, and business development activities.

Georgios Kalpias, CFA has a Master's Degree in Managerial Economics and Strategy from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), which was obtained from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they studied Civil Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) from 2006 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, Georgios has obtained several certifications including Financial Modelling from F1F9 in 2018, Advanced Project Finance Modelling from Corality Financial Modelling in 2016, and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) from the World Bank Group in 2015. Georgios is also a CFA charterholder.
