Matthew Visco has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. From 2023, they have been working as the Lead Concept Designer at HTC VIVE's Creative Labs. Prior to that, in 2019, they co-founded and served as the CEO of Lumen World, a company focusing on projected mixed reality and storytelling. In 2020, Matthew worked as a Visiting Faculty at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design. Matthew also co-founded Senseless World in 2019, a collective of designers exploring emerging technologies. In terms of design, Matthew worked as the Lead UX & Service Designer at Laerdal Copenhagen in 2020-2021 and as a Senior Interaction Designer at IDEO from 2018 to 2020. Matthew co-founded Studio Hütte in 2014, focusing on web-based design projects. Matthew's early career includes a mobile development internship at Adobe in 2013, and research assistant roles at Carmena Lab in 2012 and Knight Lab from 2011 to 2012.
Matthew Visco attended Berkeley High School from 2005 to 2009. Matthew then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, from 2009 to 2013. Later, in 2016, Matthew attended the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design, where they completed their degree in Interaction Design, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction. Additionally, in the same year, they briefly attended the School for Poetic Computation, focusing on the intersection of Art, Design, and Technology.
