Michele McDermott

Michele McDermott joined Hub Group in 2019 as the first-ever Chief Human Resources Officer. Michele has nearly 25 years of experience in human resources and served in an executive capacity at Assurance Agency and National Express Corporation before coming to Hub Group. As CHRO, Michele is responsible for developing Hub Group’s employees, managing diverse workforces, and implementing strategic plans for benefits, safety programs, and technology systems.

Michele earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Lewis University and a Master of Business Administration, Operations and Finance from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. She is a Society for Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional and has received her Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from the HR Certification Institute.
