Scott Paton

Scott Paton has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2011, they worked at EY as an Audit Assistant Manager, leading and managing audit teams. In 2012, they served as a Volunteer Trustee at On Call Africa, contributing to strategic decisions and financial management. From 2013 to 2014, Paton was an Internal Audit Manager at UK Green Investment Bank plc, where they established an effective internal audit function. Scott then worked at Morgan Stanley as a Senior Manager in Global Funding Control, providing financial control and managing a stock loan product control team. Paton also founded Symmetry Analytics Ltd, a data science startup, where they co-developed advanced modelling tools. In 2015, they provided services to CYBG PLC as a Business Analyst, leading the transition and implementation of regulatory reporting returns. From 2017 to 2019, Paton was the Director of S J Paton Consultancy Ltd, offering consultancy services to Lloyds Banking Group and other organizations. Scott also worked as a Lead Business Analyst at Lloyds Banking Group, designing and implementing solutions for regulatory reporting. At Clearwater Analytics, from 2020 to 2021, they served as the Senior Manager of Service Delivery, overseeing client relationships and managing operational and relationship issues. Currently, Paton is with Hubpay, where they hold the position of Head of Data Operations. In this role, they lead the development of software platforms and solutions, and they also served as the Pakistan Business Launch Leader and Data Governance Leader.

Scott Paton's education history begins in 1995 when they attended Lenzie Academy for their secondary education. From 2000 to 2005, they pursued a Master of Electronic and Electrical Engineering with European Studies (French) at The University of Strathclyde. During this time, in 2003-2004, Scott also studied Electronics and Industrial Computing at Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Rennes in France as part of their degree program. In 2007, they enrolled at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and completed their education in 2011, graduating as a Qualified Chartered Accountant with a focus on Finance, Financial Accounting, Tax, Audit, and Assurance.

In order to further enhance their skills, Scott Paton pursued additional certifications. In 2016-2017, they attended Microsoft and earned a certification in Database Administration and Sequel (SQL) Server Fundamentals. Most recently, in October 2021, they acquired a certification in Learning Data Governance from LinkedIn.
