Catherine Carmichael

Catherine Carmichael is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in the field of genetics and molecular biology. Currently serving as a Research Group Leader at Hudson Institute of Medical Research and an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at Monash University since February 2022, Catherine has previously held roles as Group Leader and Research Fellow at the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases. Catherine's background includes a significant tenure as a Senior Research Officer and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research. Catherine earned a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of Melbourne and has also worked as an English teacher. Catherine's academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and a Bachelor of Science (Hons), both from the University of Melbourne.
