Dr. Erin McGillick is a distinguished Research Fellow in Clinical and Health Sciences at the University of South Australia, with ongoing contributions to gender equity in health science through roles in multiple committees. Dr. McGillick serves on the Women in Health Science Advisory Committee for the National Health and Medical Research Council and is a member of the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee at Science & Technology Australia. As a Director and Media Director for the Australian Society for Medical Research, Dr. McGillick leads initiatives focused on promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion within the health and medical research sector. With extensive experience as an Honorary Research Fellow at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research and a strong commitment to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, Dr. McGillick has significantly impacted perinatal research as a co-supervisor and lecturer at Monash University. Educated at the University of South Australia, Dr. McGillick holds a PhD in Medical Science and has actively engaged in numerous initiatives to improve outcomes for disadvantaged populations in research and academia.
