David Shapira

David Shapira serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Swiss Innovation Forces since March 2023 and is an Honorary Research Fellow at Imperial College London, contributing to the Institute of Global Health Innovation focusing on integrating augmented and mixed reality in surgical settings. As a co-founder of WakeWeeks, David has been instrumental in operating Switzerland's Mastercraft WakeWeeks Davos cablepark since July 2015. David also co-founded Rimon Technologies GmbH, and has previous experience as a Research Intern and Product Engineering Intern at Imperial College London and DePuy Synthes Companies, respectively. Additional roles include external consulting at ETH Zürich, and responsibilities in organizing sponsorship for the Challenge EPFL-ETHZ event. Education was completed at ETH Zürich with a Master’s degree and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering.
