Wei Liang

Wei Liang has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Wei is currently working at Hum Capital as the Engineering Lead of Data Acquisition since March 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Engineering Manager at Yahoo from October 2016 to December 2020. Before Yahoo, Wei was the Head of Engineering and Co-Founder at Nuistars Inc. from May 2015 to October 2016. Wei also worked as a Senior Software Development Engineer at Yahoo from November 2013 to May 2015. Wei Liang has experience as a Staff Engineer at Hightail (formerly YouSendIt) from April 2013 to November 2013. Furthermore, they were a part-time consultant and Software Engineer at QuickIO, which was acquired by Yahoo in 2013. Wei started their career as a Senior Software Engineer at Cisco Systems in November 2006, where they worked until April 2013. Wei also worked briefly as a Senior Software Engineer at Orative, which was acquired by Cisco in 2006. Prior to that, they served as a Software Engineer at Destinator Technologies. Inc. and completed an internship at MERL in 2005.

Wei Liang earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1998. Wei then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 1998 to 2001. Later, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from North Carolina State University, completing their studies from 2001 to 2005.
