Ushma Patel Joseph

Ushma Patel Joseph has over 12 years of experience in the field of quality engineering and sterilization. Ushma currently works at Humacyte as a Quality Engineer III, having been promoted from Quality Engineer II, where they started in March 2020. Prior to Humacyte, Ushma worked as a Quality Engineer at Entegrion, Inc. from November 2016 to March 2020. Before that, they worked at TransEnterix, Inc. where they served as a Quality Engineer from April 2015 to November 2016 and as a Sterilization Specialist from April 2014 to April 2015. Ushma's early career began as a Graduate Student and ultimately a Teaching Assistant at East Carolina University from 2009 to 2013.

Ushma Patel Joseph has a strong educational background in chemistry. Ushma received their Bachelor's degrees in both Biology and Chemistry from East Carolina University in 2012. Later, in 2013, they obtained their Master of Science degree in Chemistry from the same university. Furthermore, in December 2019, Ushma Patel Joseph received a certification as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) from ASQ - World Headquarters.
