Matt Stephenson

Matt Stephenson is an experienced talent acquisition and operations leader, currently serving as Operating Partner for Talent at Human Capital since December 2021. Previously, Stephenson held prominent positions at Plaid as Head of Technical Recruiting and Recruiting Operations and at Shift Technologies, Inc. as Head of Engineering, Design, and University Recruiting. Early in the career at Google, Stephenson managed a sourcing team and was instrumental in recruiting engineering talent, contributing to over 284 accepted offers. Earlier roles include account management positions at Watermark Press and American Lithographers, as well as participation in a leadership development program at Consolidated Graphics. Matt Stephenson holds a degree from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, graduating in 2006.
