Andrea MacVay

Senior Data Manager at Human Rights Campaign

Andrea MacVay has a diverse range of work experience. Andrea most recently worked at the Human Rights Campaign as a Senior Data Manager starting in July 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Grow Progress as a Client Solutions Architect from December 2018 to November 2019.

At Grow Progress, Andrea developed and executed customer success plans, on-boarding processes, and training materials for persuasion science and personality traits. Andrea also outlined a plan for customer discovery and interviewed prospective clients to grow the sales pipeline. As a project manager, they led data visualization efforts and conducted ad-hoc analysis to test hypotheses for models. Andrea also researched and made recommendations for technology adoption, managed data vendor contracts, and handled billing requests and legal contracts for clients.

Before their time at Grow Progress, Andrea served as a Data Community Specialist at the Democratic National Committee from October 2017 to November 2018. Andrea also worked as a Client Lead at Deck Apps from June 2017 to September 2017. Prior to that, they served as a Legislative Aide at the U.S. House of Representatives from September 2015 to June 2017.

Andrea's earlier work experience includes roles such as Sustainability Associate at the National Housing Trust from September 2014 to August 2015, Americorps Service Member at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio from August 2013 to July 2014, Field Organizer at Organizing for America from May 2012 to November 2012, and Intern at the City of Toledo from May 2011 to August 2011.

Andrea MacVay attended Ohio Wesleyan University from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Politics & Government.
