Senior Vice President For Marketing And Communications at Human Rights First

Jim Bernfield has a diverse work experience in marketing, communications, and media production. Jim currently holds the position of Senior Vice President for Marketing and Communications at Human Rights First since March 2020. Prior to this, they were the CEO of Red 49, where they created media campaigns and produced advertising for various clients. Jim also served as the President of 1661 Foundation, leading the Board of Directors in implementing philanthropic strategies. Jim has also worked as a political and media consultant at Z Tribeca, Blue Worldwide, and Callahan Creative, where they developed advocacy and communications strategies for political campaigns. Jim was a partner at Creative Logic, creating media campaigns for Soros-backed candidates. Additionally, Jim has experience as a director and producer, working on a documentary film and as an adjunct professor at New York Institute of Technology. Jim has also worked freelance as a writer, producer, and director, and has been a guest lecturer at Hartwick College Department of Political Science.

Jim Bernfield earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History and Architecture from Columbia University from 1984 to 1988. Later, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Film from the same University, completing their studies from 1996 to 2002.
