Nandita Modhubonti

Senior Coordinator, International Justice Program

Nandita Modhubonti is a seasoned professional in international justice and human rights, currently serving as a Senior Associate in the International Justice Program at Human Rights Watch since October 2021. Previously, Nandita held the position of Associate within the same program and worked as a Research Assistant at the Human Rights Institute, Columbia Law School, supporting the writing of a book chapter focused on decolonial and anti-racist legal pedagogy. Additional experience includes roles as a Legal Assistant at Biolsi Law Group, a Gender & Migration Research Assistant at the International Migration Research Center, and a Research Assistant at both Clark University's Hiatt School of Psychology and Cornell University's Department of Government. Nandita has also contributed as a Research Associate for the LSE Undergraduate Political Review and engaged in advocacy work with Sakhi for South Asian Women. Nandita earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology from Clark University and completed courses at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
