Sahar Khalil

Sahar Khalil is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in financial operations and administration within the nonprofit sector. Currently serving as the Associate Director, Financial Operations & Administration at Human Rights Watch, Sahar has led significant change initiatives across global offices. Previously, Sahar held various roles at HRW, including Global Operations Project Manager, Operations Manager, Operations & Finance Officer, and Operations Administrator, demonstrating expertise in finance, accounting, human resources, compliance, and risk management. In addition, Sahar serves as a Trustee for All Survivors Project, providing strategic oversight for financial and operational sustainability. Earlier career experience includes leading operations at Shells for Media Productions Limited and coordinating projects at BBC World Service Trust. Sahar holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Birmingham and a Bachelor of Science in Development Economics from SOAS University of London.
