Backend Engineer at HUMBL

Forrest Joy has been working in the technology and education industry since 2012. In 2012, they were a Contracted Program Aide for the Poway Unified School District, where they were responsible for leading activities of elementary-aged students in an Extended Student Services (ESS) program. Forrest also supervised students in classroom and outdoor activities. In 2018, they became a Supplemental Instruction Mentor at California State University, San Marcos, where they facilitated conversation among students with varying levels of experience in the course content. In 2019, they were a Researcher at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where they studied Unmanned Aerial Systems and automation of path planning using meta heuristic search algorithms. Currently, they are a Backend Engineer at HUMBL, where they are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the server-side of web applications. Forrest also contributes to designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving architecture to ensure stability.

Forrest Joy obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from California State University San Marcos, which they completed in 2020. Forrest began their studies in 2013.
