Rachel Montgomery

Rachel Montgomery currently serves as a Program Officer for Community Partnerships at Humboldt Area Foundation since June 2019, after previously holding the position of Community Strategies Coordinator. Prior to this, Rachel worked with the Equity Alliance of the North Coast as a Volunteer Facilitator, where responsibilities included organizing dialogues on race and antiracism. Rachel's earlier experience includes roles as a Certified Arborist and Supervising Consulting Utility Forester at Environmental Consultants, and a Veterinary Assistant at Healing Spirit Animal Wellness Center, demonstrating strong attention to detail and crisis management skills. Additionally, Rachel has held multiple positions as a Biological Technician, conducting surveys for species such as the Northern Spotted Owl across various environments. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Conservation & Management from Humboldt State University and has ongoing education with The Catalyst Project.
