Sevrin Waights

Sevrin Waights is a Senior Consultant at DIW Econ GmbH since October 2023 and a Guest Professor at Humboldt University of Berlin, where new courses in labour economics and applied econometrics were created and taught, receiving excellent evaluations. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Researcher at DIW Berlin from March 2018 to September 2023, focusing on the causal impacts of family policy on economic outcomes using diverse datasets and sophisticated econometric methods. Waights was awarded a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship to research the economic impacts of family policy in Germany, gaining access to extensive tax return data. Previous roles include Research Officer at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from September 2010 to March 2018 and Assistant Economist at Cambridge Econometrics in 2007-2008. Waights holds a PhD, a Master's degree, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from LSE and the University of Bath, respectively.
