Jason Conn

Jason Conn has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Jason started their career as a Plant Engineer Intern at Xcel Energy in December 2003 and worked in various roles within the company until July 2017. During their time at Xcel Energy, Jason managed a staff of engineers and technicians, responsible for power plant systems and equipment performance testing, condition assessments, project development, and project management. Jason also played a role in developing fleet-wide plans for implementing electronic overspeed protection for the SPS steam units. In addition, they worked on numerous projects at the Nichols and Harrington Stations, including troubleshooting VFDs, boiler tube repair, cooling water makeup improvement, emissions, and performance tuning, and underground piping projects. In 2017, Jason joined Sharyland Utilities, L.L.C. as a Project Manager, Maintenance. In 2018, they became the Manager, Energy Systems, and in 2019, they were promoted to the position of Director of Operations. In the same year, Jason also took on the role of Director of Operations at Hunt Energy's Utility Services.

Jason Conn earned an Associate of Science degree in Engineering from South Plains College, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. Jason then pursued further education in the field of Electrical Engineering Technology at Texas Tech University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from 2002 to 2005.
