Jill Robbins is an experienced describer with a professional background spanning over a decade in accessibility services for the visually impaired. Currently serving as a describer at Huntington Theatre Company since September 2015, Jill previously held a similar role at Media Access Group, WGBH Boston from October 2012 to September 2015. Before these positions, Jill worked as a transcriber at National Braille Press from June 2007 to June 2009 and as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) at Carroll Center for the Blind from June 2005 to June 2007. Jill holds a Master’s degree in Visual Disabilities/Special Education from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor’s degree in Literature from the University of Michigan, with additional training from the American Repertory Theatre Institute at Harvard.
