Steven Lacey

Steven Lacey is a Senior Battery Scientist at Huntsman Corporation, focusing on the development and scaling of MIRALON® carbon materials for Lithium-ion batteries and contributing to the EU-funded SeNSE project. Prior experience includes work as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Paul Scherrer Institut PSI, where research centered on solid-state and thin-film battery projects, and as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Maryland, where Lacey conducted extensive research on advanced battery technologies. Additional roles include being a Guest Researcher at the United States Army Research Laboratory, a NIFS Graduate Fellow at NASA Langley Research Center, and various internships that highlight a strong foundation in materials science and engineering. Lacey holds a PhD and a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Maryland.
