Content Marketing Manager at Hurree

Melissa Hugel has a wealth of experience in marketing, communications, and customer service. Melissa began their career in 2007 as a Recruitment and Training Coordinator for Rogers Communications. Melissa then moved on to become a Customer Service Representative for Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee in 2010. In 2013, Melissa took on a dual role as a Customer Service Administrator for Aegon UK and a Marketing and Communications Assistant for Energy Saving Trust.

From 2015 to 2017, Melissa worked as a Content Marketing Coordinator for Tutor Doctor, where they managed campaigns, created content for websites, and analysed lead nurturing workflows. Melissa then became a Marketing & Communications Executive for Shepherd and Wedderburn, where they prepared and managed integrated digital product marketing campaigns and worked with the Adobe Suite of products.

In 2018, Melissa took on the role of Global Marketing Manager for WorkCast. Melissa is currently a Content Marketing Manager for Hurree, and also works as a Freelance Writer, creating diverse content from opinion pieces to news analysis to fiction, which has been published in Mic, Salon, and the Scottish BookTrust.

Melissa Hugel completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Honours in Theirtory from McMaster University between 2003 and 2007. Melissa then went on to obtain a Graduate Diploma in Communications from the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2009. In 2011, Melissa Hugel completed a Master of Arts (MA) in Creative Writing from Edinburgh Napier University. In addition, they have obtained certifications from Google and HubSpot.
