Aliza Rana

Aliza Rana currently serves as Deputy General Counsel at Hut 8, a position held since January 2024. Prior experience includes an Associate role at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates from September 2019 to January 2024, and earlier as a Summer Associate at Skadden and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. Aliza was also the inaugural Fellow at Venture for Canada from April 2015 to April 2017 and worked as an Operations & Client Success Wealth Concierge at Wealthsimple. Aliza's career began with roles as a Practice Management Consultant at Richardson GMP and Macquarie Private Wealth, and a Marketing Intern at BlackBerry. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School, a Global Alliance Exchange program at the University of Oxford in Law & Finance, and a Bachelor of Arts & Science with a double major in Chemistry and Economics from McGill University.
