Nicole Chung is an experienced science educator currently serving as a Science Teacher at Harvard-Westlake School since July 2025. Previously, Nicole taught at The Thacher School, where responsibilities included leading an integrated science curriculum and health education, as well as coaching JV girls tennis and assisting with Varsity track. Nicole also gained valuable experience as a Fisher Fellow and Chemistry Research Intern at UC Santa Barbara, focusing on photovoltaics and developing curriculum based on research. With a strong academic foundation from Amherst College, where Nicole earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Education Studies, Nicole's previous roles also include teaching assistant positions in oceanography and chemistry, along with initiatives promoting sexual respect among students. Additional experiences include summer camp counseling and a brief internship in a research lab.
