Daniel McGowan

Daniel McGowan is a Mechanical Design Engineer at HX5, LLC, providing engineering support to NASA and the Johnson Space Center as part of the JSC Engineering, Technology, and Science contract. McGowan previously served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M University, leading the design and prototyping of lower limb prosthetics, optimizing designs through advanced engineering software, and securing patents. Experience also includes roles at GE Oil & Gas and GE Industrial Solutions, focusing on product development and structural design, as well as early positions as a teaching assistant and engineering intern. McGowan holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
