Rylee Schauer is an accomplished systems engineer currently serving as Systems Engineer III at HX5, LLC, with a focus on EC7 Crew Systems in support of the Gateway Program since November 2022. Prior experience includes work as a Human Systems Integrator for NASA's Gateway Program at KBR, Inc. from June 2020 to the present, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at BioServe Space Technologies, contributing to the NASA-funded "Biofilm In Space" project that was launched to the ISS in November 2019. Rylee's earlier internships include a role at Confluent Medical Technologies, where experiments executed contributed to a publication on Nitinol medical devices, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Anseth Research Lab, gaining valuable experience in various laboratory techniques. Rylee holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering - Bioastronautics and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering, both from the University of Colorado Boulder.
