Phil Nagel

Phil Nagel has extensive experience in avionics and electrical engineering, currently serving as the Head of System Engineering for Electrical & Avionics at Hybrid Air Vehicles Ltd since May 2018, where responsibilities include developing complete aircraft system architecture. Prior roles include Principal Avionics System Engineer at Air Vehicle Systems Limited, Systems Lead for the Blue Devil II UAV at Mav6, and Lead Avionics & Electrical Engineer at Guardian Flight Systems. Phil has also contributed as a System Safety Engineer at Flight Refuelling Ltd and held various design and engineering positions in companies such as Advanced Technologies Group and GE Aviation, showcasing a strong background in system safety assessments, electrical system design, and flight testing across multiple airship and UAV programs.
