Damijan Škvarč

Damijan Škvarč has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Damijan is currently working as a Senior Lead Software Engineer at HYCU, Inc. since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Instrumentation Technologies from June 2009 to August 2021, where they held the position of Senior Software Engineer. In this role, they were involved in various projects related to rapid application development, Linux Kernel Driver, Embedded System firmware development, and software development for Libera Instruments.

Damijan also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Hermes Softlab from September 1998 to May 2009. Their responsibilities included CAD ME10 development, storage archiving system development, and filter driver development.

From 2006 to 2009, Damijan served as a Lecturer at the University of Nova Gorica - Higher School for Viticulture and Winemaking. Additionally, they worked as an IT Manager at Agroind Vipava 1896 from April 1991 to September 1998, where they were involved in software database programming, network administration, and hardware maintenance.

Before that, Damijan worked as a freelancer, specializing in embedded systems and DOS TSR programming from April 1990 to April 1991. Damijan also worked as a HW Developer at Iskra Delta from April 1986 to April 1990, where they were involved in hardware development, SCADA, and lecturing on C and C++.

Damijan Škvarč began their education at SGNŠ Veno Pilon from 1976 to 1980. Following that, they attended the University of Ljubljana from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Damijan continued their studies at the same university from 1986 to 1996, eventually earning a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
