Hemant Barot

Hemant Barot is an experienced professional in power system planning and management, currently serving as the Manager of Transmission Planning at Hydro One since April 2009. Hemant has a strong background in leading teams for regional planning activities and overseeing project deliverables in various roles, including Senior Network Management Engineer and Project Manager. Expertise includes managing major power system construction projects, handling deficiencies in Flexible AC Transmission System installations, and performing detailed assessments of power system equipment. Hemant holds a Ph.D. in Energy & Power Systems from the University of Waterloo, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Science from Sardar Patel University, and both a Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
