Oscar Calkoen

Oscar Calkoen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over 15 years. Oscar'smost recent position was as Project Director and later as COO at HyET Solar Netherlands B.V. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Innovations and Project Director at Ampelmann Operations, where they were responsible for delivering an innovative extreme weather system and leading a team of project managers. Oscar also worked for BP for several years in various roles such as Project Engineer, Structural & Interface Engineer, Turret Construction Project Engineer, Subsea Operations Engineer, and Subsea Pipelines Engineer. Additionally, they completed an MSc Thesis Project at Bluewater Energy Services and internships at Rabo Securities and Single Buoy Moorings.

Oscar Calkoen has a Masters degree in Offshore Engineering from Delft University of Technology, which they obtained from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the same university from 2000 to 2004. Before attending Delft University, they spent a year at the University of New Hampshire studying Liberal Arts. Oscar'seducation history began at Stedelijk Gymnasium Breda, where they completed their VWO - A-levels from 1993 to 1999. Additionally, in 2012, they obtained the certification of Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers.
