Vasil Sultanov

Vasil Sultanov has a long and varied work experience. Vasil began their career in 2009 as a Content Management Specialist at Enetpulse. In 2013, they moved to Deloitte as a Junior IT Audit & Security Consultant. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at AAM Management Information Consulting Ltd. in two roles: Senior Information Security Consultant and Information Security Consultant. During the same period, they also worked as a Cyber Security Instructor at Software University (softuni.bg). In 2017, they joined Software AG as a Senior Manager of Cloud Security, then a Manager of Cloud Security, and finally an IT Security Specialist/Advisor. In 2022, they assumed the role of Head of Information Security at Hypatos.

Vasil Sultanov completed a BSc in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Sofia between 2008 and 2012. Vasil then went on to complete an MSc in Cyber Security from the University of York in 2013. In addition, they hold certifications from (ISC)² as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP, obtained in April 2018), EC-Council as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH, obtained in 2016), Cisco as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA, obtained in 2012), and Exemplar Global, Inc. as an ISO 27001:2013 Internal Auditor.
