Hypebeast is a leading global platform for contemporary culture and lifestyle, and a premier destination for editorially-driven news and commerce. Founded in 2005, it became a publicly listed media company in 2016, and today boasts a global readership across North America, Asia Pacific, Europe and more. The Group has expanded its publishing brands to a wider scope, encompassing Hypebeast and its multiple content distribution platforms, creative agency Hypemaker, and e-commerce and retail platform HBX. 

Hypebeast is looking for a Marketing Manager to join our rapidly developing team. We require a strategic and data driven leader who understands the world of digital marketing with critical thinking abilities and possesses skilled communication methods who has a proven track record with expertise in user acquisition and retention, and newsletters.

This role requires a detailed understanding of publishing tools, analytic tools and social marketing technology along with all native platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and more). You must be able to demonstrate a clear ability to develop tactics and campaigns that drive business goals such as audience growth, engagement, acquisition, reach and maintenance. An in-depth knowledge of brands, culture and fashion is a plus but also the ability to spot trends across different fields and apply them to this specific area.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop performance marketing for Hypebeast’s media platforms, growing users through digital efforts.
  • Oversee Hypebeast’s digital platforms, ensuring we keep up to date with best practices and strategies.
  • Hold accountability for the growth and expansion of our audience through different avenues such as newsletter strategies.
  • Work closely with our sales teams to monetize Hypebeast’s newsletter offerings, and advise on new areas of growth.
  • Develop tactics, plans, partnerships, tools that help achieve the business goals.
  • Assist in communication with internal editorial leads and teams on priorities and best practices.
  • Identify emerging subcultures and new communities that Hypebeast can grow into, in order to expand our audience reach and strategize growth.
  • Report on campaigns and augment based on analysis to ensure the most effective approach.
  • Work closely with Hypebeast HQ to ensure editorial alignment.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in newsletter publishing and business development.
  • Experience in CRM is a plus.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics and newsletter platforms/tools.
  • Basic in Photoshop.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess a high level of creativity and out of the box thinking.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful editorial marketing strategies that are native to individual channels and demonstrate tangible ROI.
  • Deep ability to collect, analyze and use website data to affect change.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends and across different time zones if necessary.
