Jordan J. has worked in the IT industry since 2016. In that time, they have held various roles, including Support Engineer at SCISYS from 2016-2019, Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator at Eldon Insurance Services Ltd from 2019-2021, System Engineer and Product Owner/Technical Architect at the University of Bristol from 2021-2022, and DevOps Engineer/SRE at HyperJar from 2022 onwards. At SCISYS, Jordan was involved in the design and implementation of several projects, including the DR project for the company. At Eldon Insurance Services Ltd, they worked within a small operations team and was responsible for monitoring the overall estate, participating and leading in large scale upgrade projects, and providing training to the Service Desk team. At the University of Bristol, Jordan was the technical lead for a team of 10 engineers and was responsible for understanding key systems and identifying points for improvement, designing and producing HLD/LLDs as a Technical Architect for projects. At HyperJar, their duties involve working with a small team to ensure the smooth deployment of CI/CD releases, looking for continual improvements to the environment while also providing fixes to ongoing issues that users face, completing cost-cutting exercises to reduce ongoing monthly costs, and conducting load tests to understand current capacity and provide statistics.

Jordan J. obtained a CertHE in Digital & Technology Solutions from the University of Roehampton between 2018 and 2019. In April 2022, they obtained an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
