Marilyn Hollinger

Marilyn Hollinger has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several notable companies. Marilyn most recently held the position of Senior Director, User Experience at Betterworks starting in 2022. Prior to that, Marilyn served as the Senior Director, Design and User Enablement at MarkLogic from 2019 to 2022. Marilyn also held the role of Director, User Experience at Guidewire Software from 2011 to 2019. Marilyn began their career at Xerox Corporation as a Senior UI Development Manager from 1983 to 1994. Marilyn then transitioned to Oracle Corporation, where they held the position of Director, Ease-of-Use Architecture from 1994 to 2006. During their time at Oracle, Marilyn implemented user-centered design principles and practices and collaborated with senior management to make business and technology decisions. Before joining Oracle, Marilyn worked as a Business Analyst (contract) at Genentech from 2008 to 2010 and as a Senior Manager, Experience Design at Intuit from 2006 to 2007, where they played a key role in designing Quicken Health and managing a team of designers, artists, architects, and researchers.

Marilyn Hollinger obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara from 1979 to 1983. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, specializing in Systems, from Stanford University from 1984 to 1989. In 2015, Marilyn also became a Certified Scrum Master, although the institution from which they obtained this certification is unknown.
