Ally Sprugel

Ally Sprugel has a varied work experience spanning multiple industries. Ally'smost recent position was as the Insights Director at Hypixel Studios, where they defined and built the culture of research, data, and analytics. Ally was also responsible for recruiting, leading, and managing the research, data, and community teams supporting Hytale. Prior to that, they worked at Stripe as a Senior Researcher, focusing on pathfinding and growth. Ally also served as a Senior UX Researcher at Meta, working in their Reality Labs division, specifically with metaverse and virtual reality. Earlier in their career, Ally held multiple roles at Riot Games, including Research & Analytics Manager for League of Legends, Lead Researcher in R&D, and Researcher for the same game. Ally also served as the Manager for University Programs and handled recruiting responsibilities. Before entering the gaming industry, Ally worked as an Admissions Fellow at Kenyon College and as an Environmental Educator at Camp Fire Central Puget Sound.

Ally Sprugel holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology and Sociology from Kenyon College. Prior to that, they attended Seattle Academy for their high school education. In addition to their academic qualifications, Ally has obtained several certifications, including Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Scrum Alliance in 2015, Human Capital Strategist from Human Capital Institute (HCI) in 2014, Human Research: Basic Course from Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative in 2013, and Social and Behavioral Responsible Conduct of Research, also from Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative, in 2011.
